TUG ASSIST KARTINI I SHIP OFFICIALLY OPERATES, IMPROVES EFFICIENCY AT TANJUNG JATI B PLTU PORT

PT Adhi Guna Putera (AGP), which is a subsidiary of the PLN Pension Fund (DP-PLN) and PT Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna (BAg) together with PLN Tanjung Jati B (TJB), have inaugurated their new ship, the Tug Assist Ship AGP Kartini I, on Thursday (11/5/2023). This ship is a ship that is used to assist the process of loading and unloading coal in the waters of PLTU Tanjung Jati B, namely to guide coal vessels so that they can dock at the jetty of PLTU Tanjung Jati B (TJB). 


The inauguration of this ship was carried out by the Director of Legal and Human Capital Management of PLN, Yusuf Didi Setiarto. The ship's inauguration ceremony was held at the Energo PLN UIK Tanjung Jati B building, which was attended by various related parties, including EVP Human Talent Development Dedi Budi Utomo, Managing Director of PT BAg Tri Susanto, Managing Director of DP-PLN Antonius RTA, GM PLN TJB Hari Cahyono, President Director of PT AGP Denny Pranoto, and the Board of Commissioners, Directors and other invitees. 


PLN Director of Legal and Human Capital Management, Yusuf Didi Setiarto, welcomed the inauguration of this ship, as well as giving appreciation and enthusiasm for PLN Incorporated to all attendees. "Today we have a Kartini 1 ship, later Kartini 2, Kartini 11 and so on, that is included in the plan to strengthen the synergy and collaboration of BAg and AGP for later expansion out." Today proves that we can. We as PLN can do it," said Yusuf. 

President Director of PT Adhi Guna Putera, Denny Pranoto, gave a statement that PT AGP has issued Medium Term Notes (MTN) for 10 years. "We have used it for the Tug Kartini I ship and the towing ship which is currently in Awar-awar. In the next 6 years, we plan to buy 2 more,” concluded Denny. While the Managing Director of PLN TJB Hari Cahyono in his remarks appreciated PT AGP's steps to realize the long-term contract from the TJB PLTU. 

The Director of DP PLN, Antonius RTA, in his remarks said that he would continue to encourage PT AGP's positive steps by becoming a Subsidiary of DP-PLN which he relied on to make a profit. 

At the peak of the inauguration ceremony, a symbolic withdrawal of the handle was carried out together accompanied by sirens and direct communication via radio with the captain of the AGP KARTINI I ship which marked the operation of the ship, also handed over a miniature AGP Kartini I ship from the Main Director of DP PLN Antonius RT Artono to the General Manager of PLN UIK Tanjung Jati B, Hari Cahyono, witnessed by the Director of LHC, GM PLN UIK TJB, Managing Director of AGP, Managing Director of BAg and the Board of Commissioners. 

The Tug Assist Kartini I ship is 27.40 meters long, 9 meters wide and 4.12 meters high with a payload of 75 tons. With this capacity, the Tug Assist Kartini I ship is able to assist in the process of loading and unloading coal at the Tanjung Jati B PLTU port to become more efficient. This ship is equipped with various modern facilities such as GPS, Radar, VHF Radio, satellite communications, and also the Z piller type which has the best maneuverability in assisting Tug orders. These various sophistications allow ships to track and communicate safely during transit and loading and unloading of coal.

With this new ship, it is hoped that it can help speed up and increase the productivity of coal loading and unloading at the Tanjung Jati B PLTU Port, as well as make a positive contribution in efforts to achieve the target of using clean and evironmentally friendly energy in Indonesia.
